Messy Church@ St John's

What's Messy Church about?

Families doing stuff together: Make things, have fun, Bible story, action songs, cake and tea

Everyone is invited to Messy Church @St John’s. Our aim is to share God’s love in a relaxed and creative way with all who come, especially families of all kinds and ages. We love to welcome those who don’t normally attend church.

We usually meet in the cheery St John’s Church basement on the 2nd Sunday of the month from 3.30pm-5pm. Don’t worry if you’re a bit late! We understand that family life doesn’t always run precisely to time.

Here’s an outline of the afternoon

3.30-4.15pm – welcome at the door and a wide variety of things to make and do for all ages on a Bible theme

4.15-4.40 pm – songs, story-telling, prayers and celebrating birthdays

4.40-5.00 pm – sit down for afternoon tea, lots of cake and chat.

All children need to come with a grown-up

‘I didn’t think church could be such fun and everyone is welcome,’ Julia.

"Messy Church is about ‘God, crafts, food and friendship,’ Elena.
