Meeting Together

We believe meeting together as the family of God is an integral part of following Jesus so we encourage everyone who thinks of themselves as a member of our church family to make being part of our regular services a priority.

Worshipping together

Worshipping God is a core part of our family life together. We believe that in worship we can encounter God afresh and experience his power and presence. We use a mix of traditional and contemporary songs led by a band of singers and musicians. All the words appear on the large screen at the front and many of the songs are easy to join in with even if you have not heard them before.

Learning together

When we meet we aim to learn together from our Bible-based teaching which is relevant to our everyday lives so that our teaching enables us to have an encounter with Jesus that has a lasting effect. Many of our talks are recorded and can be downloaded here.

Generally, we also follow the same teaching series in our midweek Growth Groups.

Praying together

Prayer plays an important role in the life of our congregations. Jesus taught his disciples how to pray, gave them power and authority, and sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal those who were sick.  At St John's we believe that God can transform situations through prayer. Prayer ministry is offered in every service. for any situation - for example work or family concerns, or for wholeness and healing of any kind. We also meet regularly to pray together outside Sunday services. You are welcome to join us at any of the opportunities to pray shown below:
