Celebrating 150 Years of St John's Church

Community Celebration Events

As we celebrate 150 years this year, St John’s is taking part in the Open House Festival 2026 and we are opening our doors to welcome all from our community and further afield to

• explore our 150th Anniversary Exhibition,

• discover the story of St John’s Church, and

• enjoy guided tours of the church and crypt

Tours take about 30 minutes and will start at 11 am and 2 pm.

Coffee and tea throughout the day.

Whether you’ve lived in Ealing for decades or just moved in, we’d love to see you!

Join us for a relaxed evening of music and stories as we share highlights from the church’s 150-year history.

Refreshments provided on arrival.

During the interval, you will have the opportunity to view our 150th Anniversary Exhibition and see our plans for the future.

Copies of our 150th celebration booklet and commemorative mug will be on sale in the church lounge for those interested.

Thank you to all those who came to our Celebration on 27 June 2026.

What a wonderful Service of Thanksgiving, celebrating our wonderful God who has been faithful over the past 150 years of St John’s.

Thanks to everyone who shared their St John’s stories – we’ve been able to include many of them in our exhibition and in the 150th celebration booklet, which is on sale together with the 150th commemorative mug after the Sunday Morning service or from the Church Office (please call or email to arrange a time).

The Next 150 Project

As we look to the future, we are excited to have launched The Next 150 Project — our plan to renew and strengthen St John’s for the next generation. Over the coming months we’ll be raising funds to plug our current £60,000 budget deficit and to reach our £800,000 project goal. We began with £220,000, and since launching last weekend we’ve already received £4,000 toward the deficit and £21,000 toward the project through donations and the sale of mugs, brochures, and blankets.
